A compact and lightweight pannier for the rougher routes you have in mind. Originally designed for a friend to use in the Ride Across Arizona (RAAZ) race, a 600+ mile gravel route along the Northern half of the state, which went off without a hitch.

The tapered shape is to allow extra clearance when maneuvering obstacles and the fabric on the bottom and back (against the rack) are highly abrasion resistant. The attachment area is a hypalon panel, reinforced with webbing and backed with an internal batten to keep the bag’s shape and rigidity when strapped to a rack.

The bag is made of waterproof materials but the sewing process makes the finished product not 100% waterproof, yet quite weatherproof. Use dry bags for items you need 100% waterproof.

Features

  • Voile Nano strap attachment style at the top and bottom.

  • Internal batten behind the hypalon strap area to keep shape against the rack.

  • Fabrics:

    • Ultra800 (black) fabric for back and bottom panels when choosing Ultragrid color

    • Ballistic nylon or 1000D cordura for back and bottom panels when choosing other fabrics

      Side Bustle Panniers

Bought 2 last summer for a 500km ride home from VT to Canada and a 800km bike-packing loop called "The Log Drivers Waltz". They worked out very well. Great quality, big enough to be useful but not too big. Easy to attach to frame, stable and easy access. I also have a Piccolo bar bag from BxB which I love. Nothing but good things to say about them!
